My first week of vacation has been nice and I have another week ahead of me! Not a lot going on in the Martin household, but outside is a different story! There is about 2-3 inches of snow on the ground. I was at my Mom’s house when it started snowing. It was beautiful! I love watching it snow! I didn’t get to go to Brea’s appointment because of the snow, but Madison and Brea are both doing fine!
This past week Eric and I have been watching Caleb and Tobias while Brian works in the evenings. Val is in the hospital so that the doctor can monitor her and Eleanor. Eleanor will be coming soon! For more info you can check out Brian and Val’s website. I do know that prayer is appreciated!
It has been so much fun spending time with the boys. For Caleb Eric and I come in a pair, if one of us is not there then he asks over and over about Uncle E or Aunt K(depending on which one is not there).

Well, I guess it is time to post again since last I posted 3 weeks ago. Not a whole lot of exciting things going on in the Martin home. I have been working and Eric has been subing. They trained me to be "charge nurse" on the floor and I am precepting again which makes for 3-4 people in 4 months. I also found out that I have 64 hours of vacation time to use before the end of the year or I lose it. I didn’t know that I had to take vacation time every year. So I have two weeks of vacation starting next week! Although, I don’t really have anything too exciting planned especially since Eric is still working. During my time off, Brea said that I can go to her next OB appointment. I am excited and I feel priviledged to be apart of it!
We have our Christmas tree and decorations up. I am so excited, I love this time of year! The only thing I am not ready is buying Christmas presents. I don’t have any idea of what to get people. I will gladly accept any ideas from those of you I am buying for this year. Something else I love about this time of year is radio stations playing Christmas music 24 hours a day!
My brother, Kyle, should be about 1/2 done with his tour in Iraq. I have to keeping thinking that he will be home soon. I am very proud of him, but I would much rather him be here! I was able to talk to him on Thanksgiving and it was great to hear his voice! My cousin is also in Iraq and on Thanksgiving day they called at the same time on different phones. The holidays are going to be hard with Kyle not being here. Thank you to everyone who keeps Kyle in your prayers!
Even though I have to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Eric and I are really looking forward to seeing everyone at or around Christmas time. I hope everyone travels safely!
