A Miracle of God!!!
First something amazing…
My friend, Lissa, has had cerebal palsy for 27 years. She has always walked with a limp due to her left leg being 2-3 inches shorter. About 1 1/2 weeks ago she asked a women she works with to pray for her. The woman was overcome with the Spirit and told Lissa that she had to pray for her right then. Lissa said she was praying for probably 2 hours and she felt burning through out her left side. When the praying was over Lissa stood up and her legs were even in length!!!! She actually measured her legs and they are even!! Her hips are even and her knees are in the same spot!!! At first, it took a minute to comprehend it! I mean…do miracles really still happen. Wel….they do!! God is all powerful and absolutely nothing is out of His control! At times I can’t fathom the truly amazing things He does in our lives
Something else pretty amazing…
Lissa has a friend who’s daughter is suicidal with multiple attempts. There have been lots of people praying for the daughter whose name is Angel. When Lissa and her husband came to visit Eric and I we stayed up pretty late playing games. We all went to bed exhausted. When Lissa actually tried going to sleep, however, she was suddenly wide awake. She didn’t really know why so she started praying for Angel. All of the sudden she heard a soft still voice talking to her about Angel. The voice, God, told Lissa that He had a place for Angel in St. Louis called the Meier clinic. He told her that it is Chrisitan based clinic that helps people break Satan’s strongholds of depression. He also told her that it costs $5,000 for 6 weeks. He also told Lissa that she must tell the people to pray that He provides. Well the next morning Lissa told me about it and asked me if I knew anything about a Meier clinic and I told her that I had never even heard about it. She called her friend to tell her about it. She already had the name of the clinic, a number and a nurse’s name; but she had done anything because of the cost. Lissa told her to have her church pray. Lissa called her parents to have their church pray and we talked to some elders in my church so they could pray. God told her to have the people pray!!!
That is one reason why I am posting all of this now. How often do we as Christians come across something so amazing, incredible, remarkable, extraordinary, etc, etc, etc??? Yet, somehow I still find a way to doubt God and take for granted His grace and even His mercy. It reminds me that prayer and constant communication with God are so very important. Prayer, God’s word and stories like Lissa’s help to make my faith stronger causing me to soley depend on God.
