I was reading some recipes today from the little Kraft magazine. It is free!!! All you have to do is go online and they will send them to you! There are all kinds of yummy ideas and great tips. Anyway…back to my questions. A couple of the recipes called for egg whites or egg yolks. One particular recipe called for 8 large egg whites. How in the world do I do that??? I am trying to venture out of my comfort zone and be adventerous, but I mean come on!!! So…any tips? I guess I could always go to the trusty "Joy of Cooking." I will keep you updated on my quests!

Eric had a sleep study done last week because he has a lot of trouble sleeping. The doctor called him this week and told him that he quit breathing on an average of 24 times per hour! He is going back to test a CPAP machine that he will have to use while he sleeps. A CPAP machine uses positive pressure to keep the airway open while the person is sleeping, helping them to breath better leading to better sleep. Hopefully this will really help!

First of all….Happy New Year!!!
This blog is one of my New Year’s Resolutions…keeping it updated! I don’t feel like we have anything really exciting going on, but I know that some people would appreciate at least occasional updates!
In November I went to a Nursing Conference in Chicago. It was a lot of fun and very educational! I went with my manager and it was great getting to know her more. Plus, she is a Christian and it was nice being able to talk to someone from work about God, life, etc.
December was full of Christmas parties and seeing family. It was really nice this year because we were able to spend a few days with Eric’s parents, his two brothers plus their wives, and all five of our nieces and nephews. It was a lot of fun, but also pretty tiring!!! Then we were able to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas with my family. We have been really thankful the last few years because we have been able to see both sides around Christmas. Family and the bonds/memories you build are so important to me!
I think am looking forward to 2008. I am learning to trust on God and remembering to step down from His throne! This is one of my favorite verses and it seems to fit here for me. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
