Ok, Ok…finally an update
I have been really busy since our last update. I am not really sure where all the time went, but here is a quick run through.
For the last 6 1/2 months I have been taking a class and studying to get my certification as an oncology nurse. I have really tried (especially with Eric’s help) to stay focused and study. It was not always easy though! I did not read any fictional books the whole time. If you know me then you know how tough that is! On Feb. 29 I took the test and PASSED!!! I can now add OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) to my credentials! It really was God who helped me to get through it and pass. I have to give Him all the credit!
Eric had planned a surprise weekend regardless of the outcome, but it definitely made the weekend nicer with passing. We went to see a show and I got to go ice skating for the first time!!! It was so much fun. I only fell a few times and I really started to get the hang of it. I had assumed that Eric knew how to ice skate having lived in Libertyville, IL and Wisconsin, but it had to be a funny sight when we tried to skate together! I am still healing from where the skate rubbed the back of my legs…Ouch!
This last weekend I was able to go home…to my mom’s house early Friday. It was her birthday as well as my neice, Madison’s. We were able to see her for about an hour on Friday. It was great!!! She is beautiful(I’m not biased!) and she is getting so big! It is hard sometimes to believe that she is already 2 years old! It was great for my mom as well…God really blessed her in getting to see Madi!
Saturday evening I drove down to Murray for my friend, Jaclyn’s, baby shower. She is due April 21st, they are expecting a girl, Norah Grace! It was great to see my friends. I headed back to St. Louis on Sunday afternoon. I wish that I could have stayed longer, but it was nice to be back home with Eric.
How was that for an update?
