17 weeks
I’m sorry that I have not posted more often about my pregnancy. I had been feeling pretty whiny and really didn’t think that everyone else wanted to hear it. Poor Eric had to deal with it and I have to say that he has handled all my whininess exceedingly well! I am starting to feel better now and I am hungry all the time! So I am going to try (sorry I can’t promise) to update more frequently with how things are going and progressing. I think this week we are going to start taking "belly" profile pictures.
Eric and I went to the doctor this morning thinking we were going to hear the heartbeat. Well, Baby M didn’t really want to cooperate so we didn’t get to hear it, but we did get to see an ultrasound. On the ultrasound they saw the tiny heart beating pretty fast(a good thing!). I didn’t get to see the heart beating because the Nurse Practioner’s arm was in the way, but I did look at Eric and his face was priceless! His eyes got big and he just kept looking from me to the screen. The NP repositioned so I could see better and it was amazing! We got to see A LOT of the head! The NP thought that maybe he/she was sitting straight up and down, wrapped in a ball with his/her legs and arms up around the head. We saw an arm or leg moving and at one point saw the face straight on. We thought that it kind of looked like an alien! The NP said that our ultrasound in a couple of weeks would be much clearer. We are really looking forward to it!
