Firsts
In the almost 4 weeks since I posted last we have had many “firsts”
-Olivia’s first cold with red, watery eyes; sneezing; coughing; etc. Thankfully it only lasted a few days, but somehow I ended up getting it just in time for our next first…
-Olivia’s first plane ride. She did really well! She feel asleep before take-off and sleep through both flights and the lay over. We went to San Antonio to see Eric’s parents during his spring break and my last week of maternity leave.

Olivia and Mommy before take-off
-Olivia starting taking the bottle. I started trying Olivia on the bottle about 4 weeks before I was supposed to go back to work, but she just wasn’t going for it! While we were in Texas we got bottles that were the same brand as the pacifier that she takes. On Jennie’s birthday…Olivia started taking the bottle. I was so relieved!!!

Grandma Jennie feeding Olivia
-Olivia sleeping more than a few minutes on her own. Jennie padded a dresser drawer and she started sleeping longer and better! I am not sure if it was totally the drawer but also that she was just ready!
-Sadly…my first day of work. I am so thankful that I was able to take off 12 weeks, but it was still hard going back to work. I love being home with Olivia and I LOVE being a mom. Staying home is not what God has planned for us right now though. Thankfully Jennie was able to come and stay with us. We are still on the wait list for the daycare at my work. Having Jennie here has made it a lot easier on me! I think it would have been harder handing Olivia over to someone I don’t know!
These are just a few, obviously, of our firsts that we have experienced lately. We are so excited about all the firsts to come!!!
I am also going to update the photo gallery with pictures from our trip.
