This is an excerpt from one of the Notreligion.com devotions that I receive everyday. I struggle a lot with worrying and this email really spoke to me today. My hope is that it can offer someone else the same.
Notreligion.com It’s not about religion. It’s about a relationship.
“Key Passage: John 20:19-23
On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” (John 20:19, ESV)
…A couple days after the disciples witnessed Jesus’ brutal execution, they began to wonder about the future. Evidently they felt threatened by the Jewish leaders so they met behind locked doors. Maybe they talked about Mary’s unusual report of seeing Jesus alive and well earlier that day. Was it true? Or a hoax to draw them out? Should they go looking for Him?
Suddenly, Jesus appeared! The door wasn’t kicked in, no a shaft of light beamed Him into the room–He was just…there. And His first words to them were similar to those spoken to the shepherds on the night of His birth, “Peace be with you” (John 20:19, ESV).
Whatever else people may say about Jesus, the simple fact is that He wants to bring us peace. In Him, all of our worries are answered. We DON”T have to worry about death because Jesus conquered it. We DON’T have to worry about money or food because Jesus will provide what we need. And because He’s alive, He can guarantee this to anyone, anywhere.
No religion can offer peace like this, only a relationship with Jesus can.”

Olivia and I went to the Tower Grove Park Farmer’s Market this morning. We even bought a zucchini to make zucchini parmesan. A friend gave me a recipe and then the guy at the farmer’s market gave me one that sounds even yummier!!! I will let you know how it turns out!

After we walked around the market we went over to the playground. I very gently pushed Olivia in one of the baby swings. She loved it!!! We went over to a grassy area and we watched all the people walking by. I think she enjoyed it! She was asleep before we even got out of the park!

I finally got a picture of her two bottom teeth!

This last weekend was Olivia’s first camping trip. She actually did pretty good for her first time. I think we need some more practice. We also need to figure out a way to keep her from seeing us. Once she wakes up (in the middle of the night) and sees us it is all over!

Today was Olivia’s first day at day care. The teachers all said that she did very well. They also said that she was VERY busy!!! She explored all over her new room, even into the toddler side of the room, with the help of the teacher. The room is divided into an infant side and a toddler side. Olivia will stay in the same room with the same teachers until age 2. Her teacher also said that she was trying to kiss and touch the other babies!!! I am quessing that is why she was able to play on the toddler side too! Haha! She didn’t nap very well, but I think that can be expected with all the new exciting things to see and do!
Olivia now has two bottom teeth! She tries to put EVERYTHING in her mouth! I have to say that those two little teeth are very very sharp! We don’t have any pictures of her teeth yet, but we are working on it!
Olivia is also pulling up on anything she can use for leverage. She is starting to get brave and let go of whatever she is holding on to and is now able to stand for a few seconds. She is getting a lot better about lowering herself to a squat or sitting down instead of just falling over.
