Eric and Krystal

Olivia took her first steps on Eric’s birthday! I don’t think he could have gotten a better present! She is quickly gaining confidence in her new skill! In the last week she has started standing up and she just takes off. She doesn’t walk to far right now, but she is very proud of herself! She usually gets a big smile whenever she walks…It is pretty cute!

Another thing that she has done lately (and I am hoping she doesn’t realize it) is climb onto one of her small toy bins to reach into her crib. We had the bin by the end of her bed to keep her from getting to the plug and cord for her monitor. She decided to step right up onto it. She must have really wanted her bunny! Here is a picture when we caught her in the act! Haha! It’s kind of blurry because I took it with my phone and then cropped it.

Time is just flying by for us! We have had a very busy month since my last post! I am sorry for it being such a long time in between! Things going on for us in the last month include:

My brother, John, turned 16 on October 9th. We went to IL for his birthday party.

We went pumpkin picking. Olivia got to ride in the wagon with the pumpkin!

I took a Russian language class at our church. We have a lot of Russian speaking people at our church and I want to connect with them, but I am pretty nervous! When they offered this class being taught by a Russian woman from our church I thought it was a great idea! I really enjoyed the 6 week class now I just have to use what I learned so I don’t lose it! They are thinking of doing the class again and I really hope they do! I want to learn more!

I took a week of vacation from work. We didn’t really go anywhere or do anything, but it was really nice to take some time off from work. I loved being home with Olivia!

I belong to the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group at my church. I really recommend it! I love going! Anyway, October’s Mom’s night out was called Boos, Babes and Bowling. We dressed up and went bowling, two of my favorite things! It was a lot of fun! Olivia looked at me funny when I had the red wig on, but when I started talking to her she was ok!

Olivia had her well baby check at 9 1/2 months. She weighed 18 lbs 7 oz and was 28 3/4 in. She is growing so much! She is now saying both Dada and Mama. She loves to give kisses and has just learned how to make the “mwa” sound and pop her lips when she gives kisses! She is waving a lot. She has another tooth on the bottom coming up and just this morning we see a top tooth that has broken through! She is very very close to walking! In the last week she has started taking steps on her own! She isn’t confident enough to just take off, but she will even walk holding on with one hand.

Last Saturday we went with some friends while their kids trick or treated. There was a fairy, an Elmo, a puppy, a fancy kitty, a Darth Vadar/robot, and our little lamb. After that we sat around their fire pit and had chili and warm apple cider!

Eric’s birthday was last Sunday. He turned 33! I told him he was as old as Jesus!
